hi I'm assemblymember Anthony Rendon I wish I could have got out to Lynwood Community Adult School to offer you my congratulations in person and to see you throw your caps in the air instead I'm happy to offer a little virtual message give you the message you deserve congratulations graduates earning your high school diploma is a great thing I speak from experience because I would not be where I am today without having earned that first apartment now it's up to you to turn Tacoma into a future it isn't up to your teachers or your parents you have to make the decisions that will lead you to the places you want to be I want to remind you of two important things first whatever path new shoes and whatever kind of work you do remember that you are part of a community if you look around and see how connected you are two things that go on here you will make your community a better place for everyone around you don't have to be a politician to do that in fact it may be better if you aren't second I want to remind you that those of us who are a little older than you or a lot but a lot of hope you are pioneers in a world that is cheap ways that could not be foreseen just six months ago I have that confidence that you will have the ability to roll with those changes and I hope make the changes that will help the people around you thank you for what you will accomplish and I congratulate you on what you have already done thank you
